Plunket - Car Restraint Demonstration Seats available

A grant from the Road Safety Trust has enabled the Plunket Society to have 18 child car restraint demonstration seats made.

These seats are being distributed this month (September) throughout the country to the addresses listed on the attached PDF (61 KB).

The seats are for anyone wanting to demonstrate restraint installation to use. You simply need to phone the scheme, book the seat and arrange for its pick-up and return. Any costs associated with this are the responsibility of the person borrowing the seat.

The seat is reasonably lightweight, comes in a carry bag and has instructions for assembly.

A lap/sash safety belt, a lap belt, a restraint tether anchor and a metal rod to demonstrate ISOFIX/LATCH use are on the seat.

Please note, the demo seat is not intended to substitute the use of vehicles to demonstrate restraint use, rather it is an aid to demonstrate and discuss installation use prior to practising in vehicles.
